Sedeco head of Sedeco visits Convention Center facilities

Luis Roberto Arechederra, head of Sedeco, held a work meeting with Vallarta authorities and businessmen to promote the state agency's programs.

The holder of the Secretariat of Economic Development (Sedeco) in Jalisco, Luis Roberto Arechederra Pacheco visited the facilities of the International Convention Center to learn first hand where the REDi will be installed.

Accompanied by the director of the fairgrounds, Magaly Fregoso Ortiz, they toured the facilities, mainly the halls, highlighting that REDi will be one of the priority projects that will be in operation by the end of this year, 2022.

"We are very pleased that this year there is a recovery of events, after the pandemic, we are going to reach the figures of 2019, one of the best years for the meetings industry; to date 36 events are confirmed and we also have some details such as improving the air conditioning system," commented Fregoso Ortiz.

The state official emphasized that in addition to the REDi to be installed at the CICPV, they will work in coordination with the municipal government and businessmen on regulatory improvement, establish a business contact office and make progress in linking Vallarta's businessmen with productive chains.

Other projects they will be working on, he said, include the Logistics Hub and the project to transform the City Center, to consolidate it as the main tourist attraction for visitors.

The tour was accompanied by the regional coordinator of Sedeco in Puerto Vallarta, Estefanía Flores Baca, Michelle Murguía, general director of Regional Development; Alessa Silva, director of Business Contact and Andrea Vázquez.

The head of Sedeco Jalisco expressed that he will be attentive to all the needs of the businessmen of the State, and particularly of Puerto Vallarta, in order to continue being the best tourist destination at an international level.
